CONGRATULATIONS to SPAIN . They really deserved it . I had mentioned earlier that I was rooting for Holland , Germany and Spain for this year's Euro . So when 2 of my favourite teams were against each other for the finals , I went for Germany . Honestly the Spaniards played really well .

Alright . I am definitely upset with Germany . Frankly , I was really pissed with their lacklustre performance . When Klose failed to capitalise on Ramos's error , I really thought that the Germans will compensate for that mistake in the later part of the game .

Germany started with a 4-2-3-1 formation while Spain with a 4-1-4-1 formation . Frankly the 2 lone Spaniards - Torres and Senna can be trusted to produce a good job on field . Germany's formation was good with Klose on the front . But soon , Philip Lahm - who is actually considered as one of the best fullbacks in the world made a fatal mistake . His freaking over confidence gave Torres the opportunity to score . I was really fuming when I saw his mistake . Lahm actually slowed down and expected Lehmann to stop Torres . I mean Torres was obviously a big threat , he managed to penetrate deep into the German defence . It was good that Leow took Lahm out to bring in Jansen . Well , the Newspapers were saying that Leow should have allowed Lahm to stay on . I mean Lahm is really good at attacking play ups and is known to have scored against the Turks to bring Germany into the finals . But then again - what's with the over confidence ?! .

I really wished that Leow had used the 58th minute formation change of 4-4-2 right from the start of the 2nd half . Kuranyi and Klose at the front with Ballack , Frings , Podolski and Schweinsteiger in the midfield . That formation saw many opportunities for the German team but , it was too late . Soon , Gomez came in for Klose and we saw how desperate Germany became . Frankly , I thought Germany would equalise but they really flopped yesterday . It was the WORST Germany game I've ever watched . It's such a shame to the past World Cup team . Too many flops ! . Too many mistakes . Their brimming over-confidence really ruin the day . Haiz .

Only Ballack , Kuranyi and Lehmann were impressive in the Germany team . Metzelder , Lahm , Podolski , Schweinsteiger , Klose , Friedrich and Mertesacker were the flops . On the opposing side , Torres , Ramos , Senna , Xavi , Iniesta and Puyol were awesome . Casillas didn't really had much to do but of course he is always good . I really like the way Ramos played ( and plays ) . Wow . The Spaniards really deserved it . Good job . After 44 years .
Anyways , I am really impressed with Torres' attitude . He really showed that dedication that every striker should have . I am really really impressed . Good one Torres aka El Nino .

Ok . After watching the match , I went to sleep at 5 am . I couldn't sleep . I was horribly upset with Germany and of course pleased with Spain . So I tried to catch some movies . Went to sleep at 10 am and I was awaken by the construction works at 1 pm . 3 hours of sleep and I am really switching off . I haven't been having sufficient rest - staying awake and having about 1-2 hours of sleep each day . So yes . I am going to catch a good night's sleep now . So , GOOD NIGHT .

Today's my 3rd year anniversary . 1 / 7 / 2005 - is the day I'll never forget in my life . I dislocated my knee . 3 years .. and I still haven't reconstructed my ACL . Haha and I am dancing away . My end may be near . I can always feel it . So yes .

Tomorrow's the prayer for my Grandpapa whom I affectionately call " Muthachen " in malayalaam . 10 years . 7 / 7 / 2008 - 10 years of leaving us behind . I was only 11 then . I didn't really feel the pinch then . I was really close to him and he knows it too . But I didn't shed the tears for him . But now , I really really know that I miss him that much . Nobody can ever replace him . Now I really know why my mom and her sister cry whenever we have that rememberance prayers . Muthachen , I really miss you . I really miss the times when you would teach me malayalaam . I really miss listening to all your stories on heroism , bravery , good deed and etc . I really miss your affection . I REALLY MISS YOU MUTHACHEN .
